The most trusted name in news

Gawd, is CNN still on?? What's the point? From Gawker (mostly):

Over the weekend CNN's prize putz Howard Kurtz asked America the burning question, "are we going overboard with this Twitter business?"

Meanwhile...

As the Iranian election aftermath unfolded in Tehran -- thousands of demonstrators took to the streets to express their anger at perceived electoral irregularities -- an unexpected hashtag began to explode through the Twitterverse: "CNNFail." Even as Twitter became the best source for rapid-fire news developments from the front lines of the riots in Tehran, a growing number of users were incredulous at the near total lack of coverage of the story on CNN.

"Hours after Iranian police began clashing with tens of thousands of people in the street," ReadWriteWeb wrote late Saturday night, "the top story on CNN.com remains peoples' confusion about the switch from analog TV signals."

And, in between Palin's catfight with comedian David Letterman, that Bush-the-Slightly-Smarter was going sky-diving again. Heckuva job.

ya know what?
I stopped watching cable news about a year ago, and my life has improved immeasurably.

I don't miss it one little bit.

Now, I only watch Keith O and Rachel for their perspective on the whackjobs out there, and get my news from reading several different print sources.
Much better for the blood pressure.

Mainstream media/TV/radio is mostly propaganda to keep us buying, keeping the big wigs happy and keep us controlled. Sorry guys we are living in the Matrix and there is BS going on out there. Twitter et all is connecting us all in an instant way where WE THE PEOPLE can really know what's going on and make our own minds up. Yay about bloody time the walls come crashing down and the truth and honesty of life is being refreshingly revealed!

I watch zero TV- none, ever. We have 2 in the house but I find it so devoid of anything remotely entertaining or stimulating that it's actually insulting. Stooping to the lowest denominator is apparently the name of the game for the pigs and whores running the show.
