Chicken-shit House Dems declare they are not really Dems and to ignore the (D) following their name. Really!!
Aware that their stock has taken the same tumble as home values, Congress' most vulnerable Democrats are declaring their independence from their party's agenda in Facebook profiles, television advertisements, news interviews and campaign websites leading up to the Nov. 2 election.I can't blame them though, I wouldn't admit it either. The Democrats, in 18 months, went full bedwetting retard at full speed.

The teabaggers don't even know what they stand for but apparently, the GOOPERS "pledge" isn't isn't it:
“It’s a mealy-mouthed sop to the tea party movement that is rife with platitudes and little on substance,” e-mailed Andrew Ian Dodge, the Maine state coordinator for the Tea Party Patriots national coalition of local groups. “I have yet to see one person who is wholly impressed with it.”It seems that the Teagaggers whole function is to throw a cage-rattling, feces-throwing fit -- and be agenda-less. I suspect their chief complaint about the GOP Plague for America was because it was written down, and reading just isn't the teabaggers forte.
Judson Phillips, founder of the tea party Nation online social network, called it “a nice PR piece, but I don't think it is even showing up on our radar.” Most tea partiers, he said, “are skeptical.”

THAT'S ALL, FOLKS
Dems Punt On Tax Cut Vote
Corporacrats. Fuck them all. A neutered cat has more balls than the current crop of Dems in the Senate. VOTE FOR US BECAUSE WE SUCK LESS is not gonna cut it anymore.
I didn't vote for "suck less." I voted for "Change." And can't even get spare change. So voting to extend middle class tax cuts is considered "risky" by these pants-wetting fools? You have to be a special kind of stupid to think that voting for tax cuts for the middle class makes you politically vulnerable before an election. If they're that fucking stupid, it's only a matter of time before they stick their tongues into a light bulb socket or wander into traffic. Spineless motherfuckers can't even broadcast a simple but powerful message:
Low taxes for you, higher taxes for millionaires.
Are Dems trying to lose seats intentionally? I mean really. Stand for something, for God's sake.
When the Democrats LOSE in a month, don't blame us the voters. They have no one else but themselves to blame.
The Dems just don't play hardball or any kind of ball - they are the republicans' squeak toys.
What's 535 out of 300 million?
I'll tell you two things it isn't: It's not representative and it sure as hell ain't democracy. Democracy is dead. Long live the corporatocracy. And bend over just a little more....good things will trickle down to you soon.
Well we're still waiting!!!!

I'm so tired of the bullshit meme going around that now is not the time to raise taxes on the job providing small business owners. It's a three card monte game and guess who's getting fucked?
Fun with facts:
Of all the small business income filers in 2009, only 1.9 percent were in the top two tiers which would be hit by the Obama tax plan.

It would be a great idea to give this group a
round of applause hand:
Carrying signs reading, “O’Donnell: Hands Off Our Masturbation,” the angry masturbators clogged downtown Wilmington, stopping traffic for blocks.I like O'Donnell. It's rare to find such a total package of stupidity, prejudice, and distorted superstitious thought in someone running for public office in America ........never mind.
Harley Farger, a leading Delaware masturbator and planner of the Million Masturbators March, said it was difficult to organize masturbators “because they’re used to acting alone.”

[W]hen the tax fight is over, one way or another, you can be sure that the people currently defending the incomes of the elite will go back to demanding cuts in Social Security and aid to the unemployed. America must make hard choices, they’ll say; we all have to be willing to make sacrifices. But when they say “we,” they mean “you.” Sacrifice is for the little people.Meanwhile, back in D.C., the congresscritters will sit on their fat asses enjoying all their many perks and bribes while they make sure that their fortunes increase at the expense of the poorest among us.

Who counts and who doesn't count? We hear so much about the "middle class" but rarely about the plight of the poor. And of course we hear again and again that the wealthy are "successful" and the "job-creators" who shouldn't be "punished" by being asked to give something back to the country that enabled their wealth. Conservative "market" thinking and Ayn Randian "the poor are losers" dehumanizing ideology has become pervasive and dominant as we transition from one-person-one-vote democracy to one-dollar-one-vote plutocracy. In this plutocratic environment the national discussion of tax cuts for the wealthy saturates the corporate media, while the 44 million of us in poverty now are barely mentioned and count for little.H/T Seeing the Forest

Fifty-seven percent of Republicans say the congressional GOP needs new leadership.Republicans are doubtful on whether Boehner should get the Speaker's gavel if the party of derp retakes control of the House this fall. Getting up the poopchute would be a good place to start, 67% responded.

It wasn't just cross-dressers and serial adulterers who did not get struck by the almighty Wrath of God at the so-called "values" summit: Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann also got lucky. Our buddy Jon Ponder reports --
At the Values Voter Conference in Washington, Bachmann took the podium and made this outrageous statement:Such values! Lots more at the Pensito Review.
BACHMANN: “Unlimited credit cards for our elected leaders have become an in entitlement. like Speaker Pelosi, who has been busy sticking the taxpayer with her $100,000 bar tab for alcohol on the military jets that she’s flying.”
Pelosi does not drink. (Bachmann may have confused Pelosi with Republican Speaker Wanna-Be John Boehner who is famous in the capital for doing nothing but boozing, schmoozing and playing golf with lobbyists.)

Alleged choirboy-stalker Gary Bauer oozed into the ironically-named conservative Values Voters Summit last night and compared this year's voting to overthrowing the September 11 hijackers:
BAUER: From the cell phone calls that were made and the tapes that we have, we know that those passengers went to the back of the plane. Being good Americans, they started a debate. "Well," some of them said, "we need to get back to our seats. We can't do anything about this. You don't fight hijackers. The plane will land. And then there will be negotiations. We'll get out of here." Other people said, "No, no, the country is under attack. We've got to fight." And you know what they did? Nobody won the debate! So somebody said, "Let's vote."Let's roll! Destroy the murdering Democrap usurpers in a fiery crash of doom! Jeebus. I don't even know where to begin. That goes beyond mere derpitude. He's unhinged.
That's what we're going to do in 45 days, right? We're going to vote. If you get up that morning and you're tired, you're sick, it's raining -- remember these Americans on the plane. They voted to fight back. So they made weapons with whatever they can -- leftover utensils from breakfast. The flight attendant was still alive; she boiled the water for the coffee. That was going to be her weapon. They took the drink cart, used it as a battering ram. They ran down the aisle of that plane, throwing the water, fighting as hard as they could, into the teeth of men armed with box cutters!
They brought that plane down. They spared this country more pain, more sorrow, more deaths. God bless them! Don't forget them!
Values?? Fucking fruitcake.

More head spinning, contradictory bullshit from the party of fiscal responsibility.
Even as they hammer Democrats for running up record budget deficits, Senate Republicans are rolling out a plan to permanently extend an array of expiring tax breaks that would deprive the Treasury of more than $4 trillion over the next decade, nearly doubling projected deficits over that period unless dramatic spending cuts are made. This is exactly why the Catfood Commission will need to advise phasing out Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education funding, the VA, research grants, NASA -- in fact, every single thing except for military and defense contracts and their own salaries.
Free Markets, don't they rock?

Batshit insane, and rabidly Islamophobic cuntservative columnist Cal Thomas scribbles some really hateful bullshit:
We are doing a poor job of fighting the terrorists at home if we continue to allow Muslim immigrants, especially from Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen, into America. We won't win this war if we permit the uncontrolled construction of mosques, as well as Islamic schools, some of which already have sown the seeds from which future terrorists will be cultivated. We won't win this war if we continue to permit the large-scale conversion to Islam of prison inmates, many of whom become radicalized and upon release enlist in al-Qaida's army.Unbelievably, some bird cage liners still publish Cal Thomas. Think about this -- in his simple mind being Islamic is actually worse than being a christian convicted murderer, or a child molesting Catholic Priest. If that isn't bigotry I don't know what is.
BTW, maybe, just maybe we could stop invading other peoples countries and bombing the fuck out of their civilians.....maybe THAT would slow down the "sowing of the seeds" of terrorism....just sayin'.

Not surprisingly, they don't mention because it was so fucking stupid -- on the other hand, they come up with this gem:
Jim Greer, the former chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, accused the president last year of using “taxpayer dollars to indoctrinate America’s children to his socialist agenda.”LOL. Yeah, that'll do it. You fucking hypocritical idiots.
Now, facing fraud and money laundering charges and the reproach of his GOP colleagues, Greer is offering up some contrition.

White, male republicants dominate the Sunday talk shows. If you also count aging tranny Mitch McConnell and chorus-girl-wannabe Lindsey Graham.
Think Progress reports that bringing a "diverse group of voices” that “reflect the cultural, economic, and political landscape” of the U.S. actually means “white, male, senior, and Republican”:
[A]ccording to a new study published by George Mason University School of Law this month, the Congressional guests featured in 2009 were anything but diverse, failing not only to represent the demographics of the American population but also the diversity of Congress...That darn liberal media.
And 2010 is shaping up to be more of the same, with McConnell “again leading the pack – appearing 10 times on Sunday shows – a rate even higher than he achieved in 2009.”

Moist, orange-hued flipflopper John Boehner "maintains especially tight ties with a circle of lobbyists and former aides representing some of the nation's biggest businesses, including Goldman Sachs, Google, Citigroup, R. J. Reynolds, MillerCoors and UPS," according to the New York Times:
They have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to his campaigns, provided him with rides on their corporate jets, socialized with him at luxury golf resorts and waterfront bashes and are now leading fund-raising efforts for his Boehner for Speaker campaign, which is soliciting checks of up to $37,800 each, the maximum allowed.
Boehner continues to travel to golf destinations on a corporate-subsidized tab, though now it is paid for through his political action committee, the Freedom Project. In the last 18 months, it has spent at least $67,000 at the Ritz-Carlton Naples in Florida, at least $20,000 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Va., and at least $29,000 at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio for fund-raising events.

Republicans refuse to compromise on tax cuts --
Congressional republicants have furiously backpedalled from a compromise with the Obama administration over the expiring Bush-league tax cuts for the filthy rich.In what will come as no surprise, joining the repubicunts was insufferable quisling Joe Lieberman, professional fuckwit.
Pudfaced Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and the party's conservative activists distanced themselves from comments by fellow rethug John Boehner on Sunday that he may agree to let tax relief for wealthy Americans expire if that was politically necessary to save middle-class tax cuts.
By late Monday, Boehner, weeping, issued a craven, hyper-partisan flipflop, saying he too would

Sorry to ruin the hatefest for the ill-informed Fox "News" watching corporate tools, but as Wayne and Garth would say, WAY!:
It turns out there was a Muslim prayer room on the 17th floor of the south tower of the World Trade Center, where Americans and other traveling Muslims prayed every day. This logical truth will not change the closed and already made-up minds of the hate-blinded teabaggers and all the rest of the bigots who have found an outlet to vent their anger at yet another minority.
On September 11th, 2001, when a handful of terrorists flew planes into the towers, some of the folks who used the room evacuated in time. Others probably didn't.
In other words, there already was a "ground zero mosque"--used by Muslim Americans who were murdered just like everyone else.
Look! More ignorant sheeple that are easily led around by the nose. America the stupid.

My thoughts exactly
As I now understand it, the budget deficit and the national debt are a huge national crisis, which threaten our future and our very way of life, if the proposal on the table is:I can only add: ... just cough up those tax cuts, and stop asking any further questions. Maybe you'll get some money from the trickle-down effect.
* Aid to the unemployed
* American infrastructure
* Jobs for teachers, firefighters, and police officers
* Retirement security
* Investment in a new U.S. energy policy
* Access to affordable health care for America's families
* Quality public schools and student loans
* Transportation, public works, research and development, childcare, and food stamps
On the other hand, the budget deficit and the national debt are utterly meaningless, and shouldn't even be considered, if the proposal on the table is:
* Tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires
* Infrastructure in Iraq
* an expanded government role in health care through Medicare Part D
* an expanded government role in education through No Child Left Behind

NRO's Andy McCarthy is out to lunch:
Let's imagine a Muslim burning a bible and see how many teabaggers join a mass murdering organization. These just might be the same "sensible" people who are teabaggers and voting against their best interests, perhaps.
According to Obama, Jones’s “stunt” (a fair description) is already “a recruitment bonanza for al-Qaeda.” That’s absurd. No sensible person joins a terrorist organization dedicated to mass murder simply because somebody torches a Koran.
Besides, everyone knows that sensible folks only join terror organizations only if they think the Government is going to take away their guns or raise their taxes.

Rick Santorum's Anal Sex Problem
Rick Santorum would very much like to be president. For the past few years, he has been diligently appearing at the sorts of conservative events where aspiring Republican candidates are expected to show up. But before he starts printing "Santorum 2012" bumper stickers, there's one issue the former GOP senator and his strategists need to address. You see, Santorum has what you might call a Google problem. For voters who decide to look him up online, one of the top three search results is usually the site SpreadingSantorum.com, which explains that Santorum's last name is a sexual neologism for "the frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex."How fucking awesome. Just for clarity, though, that should be 'Rick "man on dog" Santorum's anal sex problem'.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Heh -- almost forgot the best part: "it may have contributed to Santorum's crushing 18-point defeat in his 2006 campaign against Bob Casey."

Our free press endlessly reminds us that although we can afford infinite amounts of money for endless war and tax cuts for the rich, it's just too much to ask to spend a fraction of that amount on job creating infrastructure.
This is the same press corps that can never seem to mention how many hundred billion the latest war supplemental is for, will go on and on about how we cannot afford to spend $50 billion on anything that doesn't involve border fences or blowing up brown people.

This just may be the true face of today's American Taliban:
A Christian minister said Tuesday that he will go ahead with plans to burn copies of the Quran this weekend to protest the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks despite a warning from the top U.S. general in Afghanistan that doing so would endanger American troops.I'd be tempted to fire up a few grills across the street from them and start burning their 'holy book.'
Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center said he understands Gen. David Petraeus' concerns, but plans to go forward with the burning this Saturday, the ninth anniversary of the attacks.

To fight socialism, we must become communists !
We certainly can emulate China's economic "success." While we're at it, we should eliminate all environmental regulations and repeal minimum wage laws and finish off what's left of freedom of press.
National Review recently ran an item arguing that China is setting a fine economic model to be emulated. And that came on the heels of disgraced former House Speaker Newt Gingrich telling the Young Americans for Freedom, "You want to create jobs as rapidly as China? The Chinese pay zero capital-gains tax. If we had zero capital-gains tax in the United States ... we'd be dramatically better off."
