Their true core clientele are the people who are very well off and want things to remain that way, but that's such a small % of the people that it won't win elections. So they have to try to attract people from the rest of the economic spectrum with specious arguments -- but arguments that are submitted with unrelenting frequency and VOLUME --to net the suckers who aren't paying close attention.
