Bush was showered by boos as he strode to the mound. Even after Bush delivered the pitch, the jeering did not let up until the President disappeared from the field:

Wow, with any other preznit, this kind of thing would really get through and tell him something. But with the pretzeldunce, a team of his closest advisors convinced him that it only sounded loud, even though it came from a small percentage of the people in the stadium.
"How much of a percentage?" Bush asked, trying to feel better.
"No more than 30 percent," they told him, after which, he conveniently forgot the whole experience and went back to business as usual.
