So, so sorry Maru. My thoughts are with you. God bless LaMaw. My screen name actually refers to my kissybaby Tortie, Lily. Lily loves everybody, shares her currently favorite string with new guests and is a big sweetie. Lily is an angel, but I will never love any cat more than her predecessor, Nabila. Maru, I am so sorry to hear about LeMew. Our kitties are such important little beings. Big souls in little furry bodies. When I had to put my own 13-year-old cat Cora down in March, my vet said to me, "You'll see her again," and I believe I will. I already see her in every part of the house she loved so much...her perch by the window..the kitchen counter on which I let her hop onto each day to share a bit of the cream I'd use for my coffee...everywhere. LeMew is still there in spirit for you, too. My condolences.

I'm holding LaMew and Maru in Quakerly light (I hope neither of you mind). I also hope that Maru is taking time off to remember LaMew in joy and grief. When the time is right I trust that Maru will be able to return. Until then I refuse to pay much attention to the "news," as WTF has become something of a lifeline to me - on this blog truth speaks to power and reveals the emperor's plug-ugly nakedness simultaneously. My sanity has been much improved since I discovered WTF. Thank you Maru and Undie Lib and JasonC and DivaGeek for the gift you are providing to so many strangers.

ReplyDeleteIt is never easy to lose a loved one but to shut ourselves off from animals, people or plants in fear of the pain of loss is worse.
