Republican Senate leaders — terrified by the prospect of losing five or more seats in November — have freed their members to vote however they need to vote to get reelected, even if that means bucking [the moron-in-chief] or the party’s [do-nothing, pathetic] leadership.
Republican leaders haven’t even bothered whipping members to toe the party line or back President Bush’s veto threats... It’s unusual for rank-and-file members to get a green light to blow off their party leaders. But these are unusual times for Republicans. They are genuinely worried they could get their clocks cleaned in November.

funny how this works: They have to vote Dem to SAVE THEMSELVES with their constituents.
ReplyDeleteI believe the exceptions in voting Dem are the economy and the war. ( which are the two main subjects anyone will ever bring up)
The basic theme of the shrinking GOP seems to be: They're on to us, so hide behind the Dems pants leg till the election bloodleting is over.
