Ozzie taunts Gorby, who shoots ice-daggers out of her eyes at both of us. Hey, I've tries bringing her in, but she wants nothing to do with it. Silly cat.
For years there was a big, white, seemingly-feral cat who lived in my yard and under the deck. He'd come right up to the door to taunt my cats, but I never could get him to come inside--indeed, I never could touch him--but he always was there. For the winters I bought heated food and water dishes, an insulated doghouse, and--when I was away--hired a housesitter partly so he'd be cared for. (Yes, I'm soft as pudding.) After about ten years of this, I discovered he actually had another home and owners, but they saw him only once every six or seven months! He disappeared about a year and a half ago, and I assume either old age or one of the many varmints here got him. I still miss him. Please give Gorby an extra treat in his memory.
