Just wanna bang on the drum all day

Hi guys. Again, sorry about the lack of posts. We heard, after four/five years of yanking our chain, that it finally looks like we're getting the ol' heave-ho. Like, SOON, and this time they mean it. We may hear more sometime this week. I shouldn't be surprised, but it still came as a shock. Plus now I have to find room in the basement for all the personal shit I have to move out of my cube. Ahhhhhhhhh!!! Shit. I still have to do my taxes, too. Fuck. Well, hopefully tomorrow I won't be such a damn ditz.

Aghhhh.... sorry to hear about the impending job loss - - THAT sucks!! And taxes too? Geez, all you need now is a prolonged power-outage or broken water-main. Well, try to get a good night's sleep. It won't solve any of your problems, but they won't feel quite as oppressive, at least that's been my experience. And there's always new shit to look forward to tomorrow!

  5. I understand your shock - I wasn't surprised when it happened to me last year, but still stunned. I hope you're getting severance. It gives you time to breathe.

Good luck - I was shown the door given the gate escorted from the premises thrown off the train nine years ago. Been consulting ever since with an annual income around 75% of full time. Work your contacts and be open to new kinds of jobs. Oh - and good luck - and don't be ashamed to ask for help.
