I can't help but be reminded of Salvador Dali's paintings when I see art like this. I'm not trying to be all high-brow - - it's just interesting that if you look at his works, he was doing this sort of stuff back in the 1920's/30' I believe it was. His stuff could get a little 'off-color', with penises and people shitting in their pants and allusions to masturbation, so it wasn't all just "Persistence of Memory" stuff...
