Why do Republicans hate Democracy?

Douchebag Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R-PA) thinks "those people" shouldn't be allowed to vote.

As Mitt Romney said, 47% of the people that are living off the public dole, living off their neighbors’ hard work, and we have a lot of people out there that are too lazy to get up and get out there and get the ID they need. If individuals are too lazy, the state can’t fix that.

So let me see if I understand what Metcalfe, who makes his living off other people's tax dollars is saying anyone living off other peoples tax dollars are lazy and should not be allowed to vote. Hey! Let's go back to the time when only white male land owners could vote.
I can't believe someone like this holds public office.
