Repuglicans in the weather service?
They told us it would start clearing up today. They lied.

Where are the WMDs? Where's Congress?
Puh.

As Maureen Dowd said, "The Democrats, already Fausted by their prewar fear of being pantywaists, naturally caved on open hearings."

Dick Meyer, the Editorial Director of CBSNews.com: "The WMD-Gate Inquisition has begun not with a bang but a whisper.

"There will not be a credible, serious investigation of the spies, the Bush Hawks, the WMDs and the war without some big bangs.

"Will that happen? Will Congress cop out? I can’t say it’s looking good. Republicans members of Congress think an Inquisition will hurt their reelection prospects. The White House agrees.

"And many Democrats also think an Inquisition -- and I use that phrase in the noblest and nicest sense -- hurts them politically. Their reading of the polls suggests Americans approve of the outcome of the war no matter what its ostensible justification was. Carping now about dead horses like WMDs could make the Dems look like unpatriotic partisan hacks."

Yep. Another investigation that goes NOWHERE, another cowardly, craven rollover by the spineless Dems. I used to think there was nothing lower in the food chain than lawyers, mucus, and pond scum. I was wrong.
