Dems blast White House on leak probe
Four leading Democratic senators accused the Bushies on Thursday of bungling a probe into the leak of an undercover CIA officer's name in what her husband calls an attempt at political intimidation.
In a letter to unscrupulous liar Resident Bush, the lovely yet feeble Tom 'Isadora' Daschle and three others said the White House has made 'at least five serious missteps' in the leak probe so far.
The biggest is leaving corrupt toad Karl Rove's buddy Jesus John Ashcroft in charge of the probe rather than naming a special prosecutor to handle it, they said.
"We are at risk of seeing this investigation so compromised that those responsible for this national security breach will never be identified and prosecuted," the senators wrote.
Well, duh.
They're not bungling anything. Rather, they're doing a real good job of covering up. For petessake, guys.
Wesley Clark slams pink tutu'd rivals in last night's debate
"There's some of us who aren't in Washington right now, but I'd like to ask all of those who are - let's see some leadership in the United States Congress," he said. "Let's see you take apart that doctrine of pre-emption now."
Howard Dean says voters are damn angry - at Bush
"Today's recall election in California was not about Gray Davis or Arnold Schwarzenegger. This recall was about the frustration so many people are feeling about the way things are going. All across America, George Bush's massive tax cuts for the wealthy are undermining state budgets, causing cutbacks in services and increases in local property taxes. Were recalls held in every state, it's quite possible that 50 governors would find themselves paying the price for one president's ruinous national economic policies. Tonight the voters in California directed their frustration with the country's direction on their incumbent governor. Come next November, that anger might be directed at a different incumbent...in the White House."
