Dick Cheney, Hard-Liner in Chief
Turf wars, temper tantrums, mysterious leaks—has Bush lost control of his own government?

'The Administration's exposure of a covert CIA operative, Valerie Plame, was unprecedented, but at last week's Cabinet meeting, the President shrugged and said he didn't think the leaker would be caught. His apparent nonchalance is outrageous. Plame was integral to the CIA's effort to suss out the movement of weapons of mass destruction—ground zero in the war on terror.'

  • U.S. Soldier dies in Iraq land mine attack:

Oct. 13 - A U.S. soldier was killed and one wounded when their Bradley fighting vehicle struck a land mine.
Sunday's attack brought to 95 the number of U.S. soldiers killed in action in Iraq since President Stupid declared major combat over on May 1.

  • War's bloody fallout - Hundreds suffer horrible wounds:

The number of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq mounts incrementally each day, rising to 315 and bringing sorrow to families halfway around the world.

But in a devastation that has gone almost unnoticed, nearly 2,000 G.I.s, Marines, Navy and Air Force members have been wounded in the war.

Many have lost limbs, suffered severe head trauma and shrapnel wounds in combat, vehicle accidents and other mishaps. Additionally, more than 3,000 soldiers have left Iraq with illness or psychiatric problems.

  • Army probes soldier suicides:

Alarmed by the number of suicides among soldiers in Iraq, the Army has asked a team of doctors to determine whether the stress of combat and long deployments is contributing to the deaths.

In the past seven months, at least 11 soldiers and three Marines have committed suicide in Iraq, military officials say. That is an annual rate of 17 per 100,000. The Navy also is investigating one possible suicide. And about a dozen other Army deaths are under investigation and could include suicides.

Clearly the Liberal Media is neglecting to report the positive side to this story, namely, the fact that we instituted a zip code system in Iraq, helping bombers get their packages to their destinations quickly and safely.
