Morality drive hits potholes
'Democrats don't own morality, either, but Republicans can't act sanctimoniously on the one hand while brushing aside hypocrisy on the other.'

Take the Republicans' Illinois candidate problem - please. First, there was Jack Ryan, who dropped out after stories came out that he had taken his wife to sex clubs and asked her to perform sex acts in public. Then, hey, brainflash! They focused on heroic penile spokesman Mike Ditka, who in 1999 gave the fans the finger and then "contemptuously grabbed his crotch" after a game. He pussied out.

Next was Andrea Grubb Barthwell, who, in front of her staff, 'made repeated comments about the sexual orientation of a staff member' and 'used a kaleidoscope to make sexually offensive gestures.'

Saving the best for last, the rethugs brought up slaughterer and former rocker Ted Nugent, who reportedly, besides allegedly being clinically insane, not only purposely crapped his pants in order to avoid being sent to Vietnam, but also became the legal guardian of a 17-year-old girl in order to have sex with her.

Meanwhile, out in California, serial breast-mangler Ahnold refuses to apologize for continuing to insult almost every aspect of decent society.

Then there's Dick 'go fuck yourself' Cheney. Though the WH called on John Kerry to apologize for using the f-word, the g-pukes - including the tightly-sphinctered, upstanding and moral Senate majority leader/douchebag Bill Frist - have pooh-poohed Cheney's foul-mouthed attack.

And that's just in the last few days!
