There is no backup strategery for Iraq. Unless you count "staying there until you die."
During a White House meeting last week, a group of governors asked Awol McGameBoy and Marine Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, about their backup plan for Iraq. What would the administration do if its new strategy didn't work? The conclusion they took away, the governors later said, was that there is no Plan B.But Plan C is "you're totally fucked."

Right. Plan C is either "Saigon Embassy" or "Dien Bien Phu". Or both, in different parts of the country. Will the last American on a chopper lifting off from the roof of the embassy turn the lights out?
