I assume you have the cats approval first? Best to tell them they are getting a new toy that requires a little training but comes pre-assembled. Rub down the pup with one of their sleeping blankies and give them their favorite treats (liver, salmon, caviar, yak butter) before introduction. Setting up a room that cats can come and go but not the pup can ease first contact. It might help but cats being cats, expect a nose out of joint or the pup getting a few good swats before tribal acceptance. Good luck and watch out for the puddles.
