As America Dies, The World Pecks On The CarcassI love the Global Economy, is NOTHING American owned and made anymore? Does this make me a non-domestic beer drinker? Time to break out the Magic Fridge
InBev acquiring Anheuser-Busch for $52 billion"BRUSSELS, Belgium - Belgian brewer InBev confirmed Monday that it will buy its U.S. rival Anheuser-Busch for $52 billion to create the world's largest brewer. The acquisition means control over America's largest brewer — (as) the No. 2 worldwide and brewer of Budweiser — moves overseas. Based in St. Louis, Mo., Anheuser-Busch has more than 48 percent of the American market share with brands that include Bud Light."

Well, in St. Louis there's always Schlafly Beer, http://www.schlafly.com/ , which in my opinion at least, has a wider variety and much nicer raste than A-B's brew-waters.
ReplyDeleteAnd they're American owned and made, and small enough that In-Bev won't be purhasing them any time soon.
I'd recommend trying local microbrews, as well. Beer is one case where smaller is almost surely better. Or at least, more interesting.
