Stunned WH officials can't understand why nobody in Middle East is obeying their figurehead, King Cowpat of Crawford

While the Ignorant Impotus was busy building a secret fort, it was left to WH liar and spokes-tool Ari Fleischer to call on Mr. Arafat today to denounce terrorist attacks.

Meanwhile, if Colon Powell's postponed meeting with Arafat goes forward, the Moron of Midland will be left confronting the question of what he meant when he declared that leaders around the world are either "with us or against us" in the fight against terrorism.

One 'senior WH official' said "We're only eight days into dealing with a 2,000-year-old problem," and insisted that it was too early to suggest that either American influence or the AWOL Wonderbunny's own credibility is on the line.

Still, it seems hard to come to almost any other conclusion.

Abuse of Power: Chimpy the Choker as Richard Nixon

"All we really know about homeland security is that Tom Ridge, after several months on the job, has announced a color-coded warning system that few Americans understand, and even fewer believe will make a tinker's damn of difference to their safety.

"We also know that there is a wide consensus of opinion in Washington, outside the Bush Administration, that the Office of Homeland Security is all hat, and no cattle - as they say in Texas. And finally, we know that Ridge has refused to testify about his work.

"I'm sure I don't have to tell anyone, but Americans are being treated like fools. "

Quote of the Day

"The US has effectively abandoned Karzai to the tender mercies of rival warlords, while blocking additional UN peacekeeping forces. 350 were killed just a couple of weeks ago in a coup attempt. here's talk the US is thinking of abandoning the southern half of Afghanistan to the warlords and only attempting to hang onto the northern part - coincidentally, the part of Afghanistan needed for the oil pipeline. Those things are missing from the mainstream news." -
