And in 1971, back when reporters were journalists, not whores, The New York Times commenced publication of the Pentagon Papers, the top secret DOD analysis of what went wrong during the Vietnam War. The U.S. Justice Department was granted a court order blocking further publication of the embarrassing documents, but a Supreme Court decision struck this down, and publication resumed.
