UN rolls eyes at US call for end to Iraq sanctions
Security Council diplomats passed around a fresh box of testicles yesterday prior to responding to the Bush misadministration's call for an end to U.N. sanctions on Iraq, and said they wanted to first hear Washington's views on a U.N. role in reconstruction and the search for weapons of mass destruction.
The most significant condition? That U.N. arms inspectors must first certify that Iraq has destroyed all its weapons of mass destruction. Chief weapons inspector Hans Blix will tell the council on Tuesday that his team is ready to return to Iraq and finish its work.
But the lying criminals in the White House and their Pentagon leash-handlers do not want the U.N. inspectors back any time soon, saying it would be damn near impossible to plant any they prefer to do the job themselves. - link.
...and in a related story....
US should be "embarrassed"
Retired CIA intelligence analyst Ray McGovern told Agence France-Presse: "Some of my colleagues are virtually certain that there will be some weapons of mass destruction found, even though they might have to be planted."
"I'm just as sure that some few will be found, but not in an amount that by any stretch would justify the charge of a threat against the US or anyone else." He added: "Even if the planting were discovered by and by, they'll say, 'ok, the weapons were planted -- fine.'" - link.
