"As Iraq's promised horrors fail to appear, questions about the case for war - which was mostly based on threats from WMD - are mounting. In Britain, sceptics have scented blood. Robin Cook, who resigned from the cabinet over Tony Blair's Iraq policy, has called for an independent inquiry into why Britain went to war. Clare Short, another ex-cabinet minister who stepped down because of Iraq, says that Mr Blair "duped" Britons into rushing to war, by hyping fears of chemical and biological weapons." - The Economist.

"Now dissent is 'immoral.' Just about the only person criticising Bush in the US media is Sean Penn - and he paid $125,000 for the privilege." - Gary Younge, in the Guardian.
