It's raining AGAIN. It rained yesterday, and will continue through Sunday. We've had one-and-a half sunny-but-cool days since the weekend, where I managed not only to get some yard work done, but to get poison ivy. I could've sworn that vine was virginia creeper...

Stuff

  • The box turtle was spotted, happily munching worms in the garden compost heap.
  • The baby chipmunks are making their first ventures into the wild - only to be caught and eaten by the stray cats. :(
  • The deer have been draining the birdbath dry just about every night.
  • Saw our first hummingbird, but since the bear destroyed the feeder, it'll probably be the last.
  • No fireflies yet.
  • The peas are finally flowering, and we have one green tomato.
  • Did I mention it's raining?

    Link updates
It's that time again. We'll be removing the sites that seem to have died or are going on extended hiatus - we'll miss William Burton and George at High Water and will gladly relink them if they return. Sadly, also, It's A Moo Point is coming off, because it's always unavailable.

On a happier note, please welcome blunted on reality, Very Very Happy, and History News Network!

Sad campaign news from James Capozzola.

Great essay here. I wish I could write like that.

A huge thank you to Technorati for rating WTF as one of the Top 50 Interesting Newcomers, and to daintily dirty and The Rittenhouse Review for the kind mentions!
