WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Senate's "No. 2" republican on Thursday dismissed as 'premature' calls for congressional investigations into whether the misadministration lied about Iraq's weapons capabilities to justify the war.

Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas, head of the Intelligence Committee, on Wednesday said his panel would review classified documents the misadministration used to base its case, then decide whether to investigate further or hold hearings.Meanwhile, the only Democratic Senator with balls, Robert Byrd of West Virginia, continued his attacks on serial liar Smirky McCodpiece's Iraq policies, blasting the White House for "circling the wagons and scoffing" at questions on the whereabouts of the weapons and whether U.S. intelligence was flawed or manipulated.
Sen. John Warner of Virginia, who leads the Armed Services Committee, said he would work with Roberts on intelligence issues, although his panel would hold hearings on the continuing search for the weapons.
"What amazes me is that the president himself is not clamoring for an investigation. It is his integrity that is on the line," Byrd said.
"Not with me!"
