Bring 'em on? No! Bring them home!
From Dennis Rahkonen, via the SmirkingChimp:
Confronted with growing concern over a steady, increasing loss of American life in Iraq, George W. Bush recently dismissed all suggestions that we are sinking into a Vietnam-like quagmire there.
He then uttered what future historians will record as the sound of the wheels coming off his bandwagon, and presidency.
In a statement since widely criticized as an invitation for more attacks on U.S. troops, dumb-ass Dubya simultaneously provoked and challenged the Iraqis. Who, me? Worried about ambushes blowing away American mothers' precious sons. Nope...
"Bring them on!"
Three words that decisively proved one thing: Here is a president whose dim-bulb intelligence and goofy, faux-macho posture finally did him in...just as many predicted they inevitably would.
The mainstream media may miss the destructive significance of Bush's politically suicidal remark, or perhaps they'll purposely downplay it, but in coffee, beauty, and barber shops across the land his fate has already been decided.
So it is written, so it shall be done.
