Medical examiner who came up with novel theory to explain death of young female staffer inside of Joe Scarborough's Florida office has been fired
Starting July first, the Okaloosa/Walton medical examiner will be out of the job he's held the last six years. Dr. Michael Berkland has been dismissed by the Medical Examiner's Office in Pensacola.

The Florida Medical Examiner's Commission had complained of his failure to complete dozens of autopsy reports in 2001 and 2002, a violation of state statutes.

This is the same guy who had lost his license in Missouri for faking autopsy reports but was hired to explain the mysterious death of Lori Klausutis in Joe 'Dead Intern' Scarborough's office (thanks to BuzzFlash).




Cheney energy task force ordered to turn over documents
WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that Vice President Dick 'Chicanery' Cheney and the energy task force he headed in 2001 must reveal which industry executives helped formulate its recommendations for national energy policy, or else make a more specific case for executive privilege.

In a 2-1 vote, the appeals court upheld a lower court's ruling that a suit filed by Judicial Watch and the Sierra Club could proceed. The administration had sought a blanket exemption from laws that require federal agencies to conduct their business in public.
