Court-appointed fratboy's approval dives in Pew poll
Indolent liar Smirky McGolfcart's overall rating dropped from 58 percent last month to 53 percent while 37 percent of respondents said they disapproved of the way he was handling his job, according to a Pew Research Center survey of 2,528 Americans. The poll was conducted from July 14 to Aug. 5.

The disapproval percentage is the highest negative rating the lying bungler has received since stealing taking office nearly three years ago, the poll organizers said. The Pew poll found a sharp rise in the number of people -- to 57 percent -- who now say the economy, not terrorism, is the most important presidential priority.

Joe Loserman Lieberman just doesn't get it
"This Republican-lite Democratic Leadership Council approach is a loser." - Russ Feingold, D-Wis.

While all the other candidates are trying to pick up on Dean's call to arms - with varying degrees of success - Lieberman continues to preach a Republican-lite line that is so out of touch with political realities on the ground in America that it inspires laughter at Democratic gatherings. Lieberman thinks he is in a fight for the future of the Democratic Party, but the truth is that he has already lost that fight. - - John Nichols.
