Supporting our troops
Welcome to Fasciststan

After several troops made some highly publicized negative comments to the media about the war effort in Iraq, the Pentagon has taken steps to keep the frustrations of both soldiers and their families out of reports.

The 3rd Infantry Division, from where many complaints have arisen, has expelled many of its embedded reporters, and its troops are no longer allowed to talk to the media outside of pre-approved news features.

Soldiers' families are also being advised not to complain to the media, according to news reports. Families have been warned against contacting the press "in a negative manner regarding the military and this deployment." - link.

Welcome to Fasciststan, part 2

EBay censors "anti-Bush" playing cards.
John Steins has been ordered off eBay for making fun of Bush and other misadministration leaders.

Steins' art project is a parody of the "most wanted" deck of playing cards issued in the Iraqi war. Ebay apparently banned the cards after receiving complaints from pro-Bush mouthbreathers.

Steins says he's also gotten plenty of angry emails from people who back U.S. foreign policy in Iraq.

Since being forced off eBay, Steins has found another Internet outlet for his art. He owns the domain name, thebushadministration.com, where he's posted the images for sale. - - link.
