Iraq sours relations in the Senate
Reboobs jumped all over Sen. Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.) for his comments at a committee hearing Monday, when he referred to war in Iraq as “the president’s war,” and charged that it has created a “cauldron of contempt for America.”
“I hate to say it,” Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Puckeredasshole) whined Tuesday, “but a lot of senior colleagues who should be statesmen are playing cheap politics right now.”
Yeah. I bet you said the same thing to President Clinton, too.
“This is about trying to tag the war on a sitting president, so they can run against him in the ’04 election,” Sen. Larry Craig (R-Nothinggetsbyhim) said. Well, duh.
Sen. Tom 'Isadora' Daschle (D-Neutered), asked about the Kennedy and Byrd statements, said, “I support their right to speak their minds. Whether or not I agree with them is not the issue.”
Pussy.
