Oil services firm paid Cheney as VP
Dick 'Chicanery' Cheney, a "former" CEO of Halliburton, has received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the company since taking office while asserting he has no financial interest in the company, Senate Democrats said Tuesday.

The Dems demanded to know why Cheney claimed to have cut ties with the oil services company, involved in a large no-bid contract for oil reconstruction work in Iraq, when he was still receiving large deferred salary payments.

Senate Democratic Leader Tom 'Isadora' Daschle and Sen. Frank Lautenberg said the revelations reinforced the need for hearings about the no-bid contracts Halliburton received from the Arbusto misadministration.

"The vice president needs to explain how he reconciles the claim that he has 'no financial interest in Halliburton of any kind' with the hundreds of thousands of dollars in deferred salary payments he receives from Halliburton," Daschle said in a statement. - - link.

Cheney to ask bud Tony 'The Fixer' Scalia to fix secret energy task force case
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Bush misadministration will file an appeal to the crooks U.S. Supreme Court regarding a ruling requiring Dick 'Chicanery' Cheney to release information about his task force's contacts with the energy industry while drafting policy in 2001.

In papers filed with the U.S. Court of Appeals in the District of Columbia, Cheney's Justice Department lawyers said they intend to file a petition with the Supreme Court no later than Sept. 30. - - link.

Suckers! Yeah, we lied! Whaddaya gonna do about it?!
Top Bush officials amend war claims - Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz admit we lied we lied we lied! previous statements in error

In the past week, three top Bush misadministration liars officials have backed off charges they made against Iraq, explaining they misspoke or overstated the facts:

  • The misadministration has turned up no nuclear or other weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, nor has it been able to produce any hard evidence that Saddam even reconstituted a nuclear weapons program.

  • Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz backtracked from a recent nationally televised claim that "a great many of bin Laden's key lieutenants are now trying to organize in cooperation with old loyalists from the Saddam regime to attack in Iraq," as the misadministration has produced no credible evidence of direct Iraqi sponsorship of al-Qaida attacks on America or its interests abroad.

  • In arguing for war, liar/bungler Snippy the Chimp insisted the U.S. had to disarm Saddam's regime of alleged weapons of mass destruction before it could share them with al-Qaida terrorists and top the 9-11 attacks with possibly a "mushroom cloud." He said his regime posed an imminent threat to America, making preemptive invasion justified. We know how that turned out.

  • Eleven days after the U.S. invasion, Darth Rumsfeld claimed to know exactly where Saddam was hiding alleged banned weapons. Last Wednesday Rumsfeld admitted "In that instance, we had been in the country for about 15 seconds; sometimes I overstate for emphasis.

    "Overstate for emphasis"???!??!!?!

  • Then: the misadministration asserted that Saddam's government had links to Al Qaeda. Now: Rummy: there's no evidence to link Saddam to the 9/11 attacks.

  • Worthless national security advisor and pretty good liar Condo 'oilqueen' Rice: we never said that!
