A day after promising to open up government memos, e-mails and meetings to the public, the campaign of Arnold Schwarzenegger said on Friday that he had required staffers to sign confidentiality agreements. The agreement bars campaign staffers from talking publicly about the candidate.
At a news conference on Thursday Schwarzenegger called for a state constitutional amendment to open up more government documents, discussions and e-mails to the public.
"It is very important to open up the windows and doors of government. Let the people see inside what is going on. That is the most important thing," Schwarzenegger said. - - link.
