Ain't that America
Goose-stepping city employees tear out page from "Book of Remembrance" that contained less-than-fawning reference to Saint Ronnie.

A videotape shot by a KPIX-TV news camera showed the man and woman, both wearing San Jose employee tags, using what appears to be a short knife blade to slice out a page from the book.

In that page a person had written: "I remember high mortgage rates in 1984. I remember a tripling of the national debt. I remember an affable oaf.''

Later a reporter asked the man and woman why they cut the page out.

"People are entitled to their opinion, but that's not the right forum,'' he said. "You don't have a right to say things that are detrimental to people" the woman added.

"Unless yer talkin' 'bout a democrat."
