Four charged in case of Iraqi prisoner receiving electric shocks at makeshift detention facility.
On April 13, a group of Marines allegedly disciplined an Iraqi prisoner who had been misbehaving by shocking him with a live power wire attached to a converter that delivered 110 volts of electricity.Meanwhile, new, disturbing abuse photos from Abu Ghraib show more prisoners being threatened with dogs, and some with injuries that may have been caused by dog bites.
In this developing story, a State Department memo from Feb. 2, 2002, surfaced Thursday that shows they warned the White House that by ignoring the Geneva conventions against torture US troops could be at risk.
Fun fact: on Saturday, "Mr. Bush sidestepped an opportunity to denounce the use of torture."
