VP's chief of staff had early briefings on Halliburton contracts
As the Bushies prepared for war in Iraq in October 2002, A Senior Administration Official (usually abbreviated to ASAOL, to rhyme with the obvious) in the Defense Department chose lucrative Iraq contracts Halliburton to secretly plan how to repair the Iraqi oil fields, and then briefed “Scooter” Libby, Dick 'Chicanery' Cheney's chief of staff, and other senior misadministration officials about the contract before it was granted to Cheney's "former" company.
This contradicts Cheney's repeated lies assertions that he and his staff were not informed prior to the award of the Halliburton contracts, and that that political appointees were not involved, says hero/patriot Rep. Henry Waxman.
"These disclosures mean that your office was informed about the Halliburton contracts at least twice at key moments," Waxman wrote in a letter to Cheney. "I mean, what the fuck, you lying dickhole?"
Waxman asked the VP to "clarify the nature of your involvements" in the contract awards.
