Kennedy called on Emperor AWOL to start withdrawing US troops from Iraq after Sunday's elections, the White House and the pimply wanks at freeperville dismissed Kennedy's remarks as traitorous, “a cowardly plan… that would help further destabilize the situation and endanger the US troops on the ground.” The Republican National Committee even blasted Kennedy’s speech as a "partisan political attack" and saying "no democracy has ever risen out of defeatism."

Now: After defence secretary and misadministration pet Paul Wolfowitz told the Senate armed services committee this week that 15,000 US troops can now be withdrawn from that wartorn hellhole, the silence is deafening.
