Monkey McMoron's approval numbers are still in the crapper, but Americans have an even lower regard for the job being done by Congress. Record high gas prices, nervousness about Social Security, the ongoing Iraq war and the Terri Schiavo case are all contributing, political analysts said.
Democrats, meanwhile, are pondering how best to tap into public dissatisfaction with Bush and the GOP-led Congress. Oooh, look, a shiny penny!
