GOP petitions to block indicted, corrupt asshat
DeLay and his gpuke buddies are starting to pay the price for their arrogance and greed. It's such a beautiful thing to see...

A coalition of conservative and moderate Republican lawmakers launched a revolt Friday against revolting slimeball Tom DeLay, petitioning for a House GOP leadership election that would block the corrupt scumbag's hope of reclaiming the post of majority leader.

The move indicated how quickly DeLay's broad and deep support among Republicans had collapsed following this week's guilty pleas by rethug crook Jack Abramoff, once a close DeLay associate, in a federal probe into possible congressional corruption.

Several Republicans expressed dismay that DeLay did not give up his quest for his former post.

"People are worried about the other shoe waiting to drop," conservative Rep. Jeff Flake said yesterday. DeLay has "become the public face of a culture gone bad in Washington."
