Senate republicans choose party, fear over country
Bob Geiger reports on the obsequious asskissing dickholes of the repuke party who've lost sight of the American flag since it's been rammed up their asses by WH rasputin Karl Rove:
The GOP-controlled Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday voted against a formal Congressional investigation of George W. Bush’s domestic spying program, despite almost-certain knowledge that the White House has violated key provisions of Foreign Intelligence Security Act (FISA) laws over the last four years.
The vote, held in a closed session, was strictly on party lines with all seven Democrats voting for an investigation and the committee’s eight Republicans voting to let Bush off the hook.
"The committee — to put it bluntly — basically is in the control of the White House," said a visibly angry Jay Rockefeller.

No felony when the rules change after the crime:
The House is a prole outfit that hasn't got the imagination to worry about what these executive powers will mean in a couple of years, when the President and Mr. Clinton occupy the White House, and Democrats control Congress. They are foolishly fixated on letting their redneck boy king, whose handling of national security and public safety has already resulted in the loss of an American city, get away with anything he pleases to do - because, hey, terrorism.
