CIA leak case focuses on Cheney
Notes scrawled on a copy of Ambassador Wilson's NY Times op-ed by the VP reveals 'close interest in a critic of Iraq policy':

"Have they done this sort of thing before? Send an Amb. to answer a question? Do we ordinarily send people out pro bono to work for us? Or did his wife send him on a junket?" Cheney wrote. "Ummmm, junket... remind Libby to add that to my lunch menu. Along with some fresh-roasted puppies..."

Special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has pointed to an important role for the vice president in the weeks leading up to the leaking of Plame's identity.

The notations "support the proposition that publication of the Wilson Op Ed acutely focused the attention of the vice president and the defendant — his chief of staff — on Mr. Wilson, on the assertions made in the article and on responding to those assertions."
