News you may have missed this weekend
Loyalty to Preznit Fuckwit McFartypants and the GOP were the only criteria in assigning people to help rebuild Iraq. No wonder everything is so fucked up over there.

The "ideal candidate"? Someone who had worked for the Republican Party in Florida during the presidential election recount in 2000 -

Résumés of immensely talented individuals were thrown in the trash because 'their adherence to the President's vision for Iraq' was 'uncertain.' Instead, the positions were handed to prominent Republican National Committee contributors.

"I'm not here for the Iraqis," one worker noted. "I'm here for George Bush."

To recruit the people he wanted, [mouthbreathing a-hole] Jim O'Beirne sought résumés from the offices of Republican congressmen, conservative think tanks and GOP activists. He discarded applications from those his staff deemed ideologically suspect, even if the applicants possessed Arabic language skills or postwar rebuilding experience.
O'Beirne, who's married to loudmouth conservative harpy-shill Kate O'Beirne, has not responded.
