The US military has imprisoned a photographer in Iraq the past 5 months for being a 'security threat,' but has not filed charges against him or held any kind of hearing. The photographer, Bilal Hussein, is a member of the Associated Press team that won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize.
Meanwhile, in Afghanistan, where things are going swimmingly, a suicide bomber has killed 4 NATO troops that were handing out candy to children, and Alliance casualty figures hit a five-year high.
