Former sec of state and misadministration patsy Colin Powell expressed grave doubts over War Commander Awol von Bunnypants' halfassed plan to increase troops in Iraq, calling the US Army overextended and "about broken."

Though incoming Senate majority leader Harry Reid agreed with a temporary increase only, most Dems thought the whole idea was asinine: The insurgents would simply adjust their tactics - adapt to win, as it were - and "wait us out and wait until we reduce again.
