Bush to country: 'Who cares what you think?'
Unbowed by public doubts, tanking poll numbers, scathing remarks from his daddy's Iraq study group and opinions by the military, Awol McFlightsuit plans to send 20,000 - 21,500 more US troops to their possible deaths or dismemberment in his misguided vanity war in Iraq. The 'first wave' are to go within the next few weeks.
Democrats in control of the Congress vowed ahead of tonight's 9 p.m. address that they would fight what they called an escalation of the conflict, which has already claimed more than 3,000 American lives.
Democratic leaders in both the Senate and the House, who planned to meet Bush on Wednesday before his speech, said they would seek a [symbolic] vote on his planned troop increase.
Bush drinking game update: two shots everytime he says "freedom," "precondition," "benchmark," and "stabilize."
