VP Dick Cheney, who was right on the money regarding the insurgency, said the British troop withdrawal was actually good thing and a sign of progress in Iraq.

"Well, I look at it and see it is actually an affirmation that there are parts of Iraq where things are going pretty well," Cheney said, adding "The daily death toll is usually only in the single digits. And just like the Brits, as we adapt to win and continue to win hearts and minds, we too will be greeted as liberators."
