Lieberman says war vote could prompt party switch
Shameless, sanctimonious WATB threatens total dicknitude, the miserable little shit. God, how I hate him.

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Me) said Thursday that he has no immediate plans to switch parties but suggested that Democratic opposition to funding the war in Iraq might change his mind.

"I have no desire to change parties," Lieberman said. "If that ever happens, it is because I feel the majority of Democrats have gone in a direction that I don't feel comfortable with."

Asked whether that hasn't already happened with Iraq, Lieberman said: "We will see how that plays out in the coming months," specifically how the party approaches the issue of continued funding for the war.

"I hope we don't get to that point," Lieberman said. "That's about all I will say on it today. That would hurt."
You insufferable twat.

Meanwhile, this guy says not so fast, asswad:
If Lieberman were to caucus with the Republicans, they would still not take full control of the Senate, despite the Vice President's ability to break out his .22 50-50 ties. This is because of a little-known Senate organizing resolution passed in January, which gives Democrats control of the Senate and committee chairmanships until the beginning of the 111th Congress.
Which will begin on January 3, 2009.
