Prosecutors say Libby lied as trial ends
"You won't like it like it like it on your table table table," warns Fitzgerald.

A former aide to Vice President Dick Cheney lied to the FBI because he was afraid he might face criminal charges for blowing a CIA employee's cover, prosecutors said on Tuesday as his perjury trial drew to a close.
It's got nothing to do with the fact that he lied out of his ass, says tearstained attorney, going for the Bush derangement syndrome defense.

Don't hate him because he's a republican, Libby lawyer sobs -

"Don't sacrifice Scooter Libby for how you may feel about the war in Iraq or about the Bush administration," a tearful Theodore Wells, Libby's chief defense attorney, told jurors during closing arguments.

"If during deliberations a juror says, 'He's a Republican, he works for Cheney, let's do him,'" that juror must be discouraged, Wells said.

Gee, shouldn't you guys have thought 'don't let's sacrifice war critic Joseph Wilson and his wife Valerie Plame for how we may feel about the war in Iraq or about our administration'? Anybody? Bueller?
