Why would the Bush White House fire supremely talented US attorneys with sterling track records? To make room for political loyalists and exert its last shred of control, duh.
At least three of the eight fired attorneys were told they were being forced to resign to make jobs available for Bush appointees, such as an operative for the Republican National Committee and a FOK (friend of Karl [Rove]).
Experts see a continuing pattern that began long ago: A Bush White House seizing greater executive power to the detriment of democratic principle, and eroding the independence of the Justice Department.Why do those sneaky little shits hate our freedoms?
