Supportin' the troops
Fox News: The problem with the mistreatment of our veterans is that it "looks terrible" for Bush.

Good gravy... yesterday on Fox News Sunday, rightwing bootlicker Brit Hume turned the shameful Walter Reed scandal into a purely political problem that “looks terrible” for the misadministration.

"This is unfortunate. It looks terrible, which is the problem. The problem is that it looks as if this administration, which has sent troops into harm’s way, is now neglecting them when they’re injured and need care and help. But make no mistake about it, this was a — there was a potential political firestorm on Capitol Hill began to brew about this. The administration did what it did to try to get it over with, and it may well have succeeded."
You'd think someone with a forehead as big as that would have some fucking brains behind it.

Bonus: our caring prezdent
From ThinkProgress's comments section at the link above: “As you can possibly see, I have an injury myself - not here at the hospital, but in combat with a cedar. I eventually won. The cedar gave me a little scratch. As a matter of fact, the Colonel asked if I needed first aid when she first saw me. I was able to avoid any major surgical operations here, but thanks for your compassion, Colonel.”

- George Duhhhhbya Bush, after visiting with wounded veterans from the Amputee Care Center of Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, Jan. 1, 2006. God have mercy.
