Supportin' the .... uhhh, troop. Or not.
Boy, this just keeps getting better and better!
Justice Department official: "We fired US Attorney Iglesias because he was gone 45 days a year." Yeah - serving as a Captain in the Navy Reserve, asshat.
[N]ow the Office of Special Counsel is investigating whether Iglesias was wrongfully terminated due to his reserve duty, as it is against the law for employers to discriminate against members of the U.S. military.
[A]s Kyle Sampson admitted last week, there was no real performance reason to fire Iglesias. And in fact, it's indisputable at this point that Iglesias was actually fired because he didn't indict enough Democrats.* So the "absentee landlord" line was just a cover story -- but one that seems to have gotten them into some trouble now.

Okay, which is it? That they don't know the law (good to know it's not a requirement to work for the DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE) or they figure
they can lie and no one will fact check them?
I vote that it's a bunch of spoiled, legacy asshats who got pushed though school because of who their families are and never did the course work, so of course they run their mouths off without knowing the law.
I hope they get fined and kicked around until they bleed.
I'm thinking, in a real country with real laws, firing someone because they prosecuted someone in your political party, or because they won't conduct prosecution of innocent citizens of the opposite party, is criminal behavior, which prison time expected to be served if convicted.
I suspect that Lam was asked to go because she had nailed Cunningham's rotten ass, and more were to follow.
That is criminal interference, and I believe will be prosecuted. Just takes a bit of time.
Although I still wonder why Fitz didn't go after Rove....
