What?? Joe Lieberman hasn't raised his sweaty little hand yet??
White House seeks future scapegoat.... uhhhhh, "czar" to blame war on.

Because bein' a Commander-in-Chief is hard work:

The White House wants to appoint a high-profile patsy overseer to do the preznit's jo manage the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but has had trouble finding someone to take the job, the WaComPo reported today.

At least three retired four-star generals approached by the White House in recent weeks have turned down the position, the report said. Retired Marine Gen. Jack Sheehan, a former top NATO commander, said he believes Dick Cheney and his hawkish allies remain more powerful within the administration than pragmatists looking for a way out of Iraq. "So rather than go over there, develop an ulcer and eventually leave, I said, `No thanks,'" he said.
Retired Army Gen. Jack Keane and retired Air Force Gen. Joseph Ralston, also approached for the position, found themselves stuck in the lobby's revolving door in their rush to leave, and had to be extricated with shoehorns.

Typical rich-boy "W" crapola -- fuck things up to the point of irredeemability, than try to buy a scapegoat! And like Cheney or Bush would actually let this 'czar' make any REAL decisions when they have NO history of doing that in the last 5 years! It's just another delay tactic so that Bush can extend these wars to the end of his term and let someone else fix yet another fuck-up of his.

It'd be funny if so many Iraqi's & US soldiers weren't dying & suffering, and the US wasn't spending 100's of BILLIONS of dollars for oil (that will be gone within 30 or 40 yrs anyway) instead of investing in better energy sources and practicing ZPG.

Can someone verify that this is even legal? I mean, constitutionally? (not that that word actually means anything anymore)
