Why I declined to be the White House's war patsy
By retired Marine Corps general John J. Sheehan, patriot (paraphrased):

"It would have been a great honor to serve this nation again. But after thoughtful discussions with people outside of this misadministration and rambling cliche'-ridden drivel from people on the inside, I concluded that the current Washington 'decision-making process' is seriously lacking. We got it right during the early days of Afghanistan -- and then lost focus. We have never gotten it right in Iraq."
